ABOUT

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church has been a cornerstone of the Onalaska, Wisconsin community since its founding on May 6, 1888. The church moved to its current site at Sand Lake and Main Streets in 1957. In 1973, St. Paul’s expanded its mission by adding a small school, which began welcoming students in 1974. Today, the church serves over 1,500 members, and the school educates more than 270 students, both benefiting from ongoing building additions and renovations that support a growing community.

In January 2024, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School partnered with Elevate Media Group to create a refreshed, unified website for both the church and school. The goal was to build a cohesive digital presence that would serve as a valuable resource for current members and families while inviting new visitors to explore all that St. Paul’s has to offer.

CHALLENGES

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School were undergoing significant physical renovations and recognized the need for a digital transformation to match. They feared that potential new members and students were unaware of what the church and school offered, both visually and spiritually. They aimed to create a welcoming, open, and inviting online environment to accurately represent their community and facilities.

Website Redesign

After initial consultations, Elevate Media Group visited St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and School to capture the warmth and character of their community through video and photography. This media was thoughtfully woven into the new website, visually connecting visitors to the church and school’s welcoming environment. The website was designed with dual functionality, allowing seamless navigation tailored to both church and school audiences.

During development, essential features were integrated, including event calendars, online forms, and a secure donation platform, all to ensure an intuitive, user-friendly experience for members and families. The completed project, delivered in July 2024, provides St. Paul’s with a cohesive and engaging digital presence, serving as both an information hub and an inviting gateway for new visitors.
