The La Crosse County Health Department (LCHD) is dedicated to promoting public health and safety through informative campaigns and preventive measures. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they played a crucial role in educating the community about best practices to limit the spread of the virus.

CHALLENGES

In 2019, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the La Crosse County Health Department faced the unprecedented challenge of promoting public health awareness amidst rapidly changing information and the need for social distancing. The department needed to effectively communicate complex and sensitive topics such as the importance of mask-wearing, social distancing, and hand hygiene to the general public, while adhering to safety measures themselves.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Elevate Media Group worked with the La Crosse County Health Department starting in 2019 to produce engaging and informative content across various platforms. Services provided included:

• Videography

  Creating impactful video PSAs

• Animation

  Using Adobe After Effects to produce animated videos that conveyed important health messages

• Graphic Design

  Developing internal signage and digital graphics for both online and offline communication

• Editing

  Video editing was done using Adobe Premiere to ensure polished, professional content

PROJECT

LCHD COVID-19 TV PSA

As part of the COVID-19 awareness campaign, LCHD partnered with Elevate to create an animated TV PSA. The PSA promoted the message “Staying Apart, Keeps Us Together,” encouraging social distancing during the early stages of the pandemic. Animation was used as an effective tool to discuss difficult subject matter while adhering to social distancing guidelines, ensuring both safety and clarity in communication.
