Web Developer

Job Summary: 

The Web Developer will design, implement, and maintain visually distinctive, intuitive, mobile responsive websites using a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress, (Primary) and or WIX/Squarespace, etc. The Web Developer will have a strong understanding of CMS and SEO best practices and implementation and will be responsible for maintaining Elevate Media Group’s internal and external sites, site analytics, metrics, and reporting. The Web Developer will have a solid working knowledge of Google Analytics and tagging along with online reputation monitoring and management.

 

Job Responsibilities & Functions: 

  • Write custom HTML, PHP, CSS and JavaScript for existing websites and applications as needed.
  • Design, recommend and pitch improvements to new and existing features.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues on web-based systems.
  • Update and edit website content, posts, and pages.
  • Provide technical support related to web-based systems to internal teams or clients.
  • Test and give feedback on new and existing technologies.
  • Create prototypes and experiment with new technologies and features as assigned.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of CMS and SEO best practices and implementation.
  • Create and update site content and train other team members as directed.
  • Write, edit, and proofread content and establish processes and for boosting business efficiencies and profits, while continually focusing on user experience improvements.
  • Maintain brand standards, and continuity of voice and tone while ensuring fresh, compelling content in collaboration with PR/Marketing colleagues. 
  • Uncover new ways to incorporate emerging and new media formats into campaigns
  • Review project production factors through studying budget, background information,
  • objectives, styles, and techniques
  • Present designs to Creative Director for approval prior to submitting to the client

 

Skills required:

  • Experience with HTML, and CSS
  • Experience working with vector and raster graphics in applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Familiarity with Javascript, including experience with common libraries (jQuery, etc) and debugging tools (Firebug, etc.)
  • Familiarity with PHP
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work with the team to achieve departmental goals
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work/ communicate independently with clients. Respond quickly and respectfully to client commentary and requests.
  • Assist with the development of web-based sales proposals
  • Effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Professional development experience, either through a full-time job, internship, specialty training, personal projects, or schooling
  • Familiarity with responsive web design techniques
  • Experience building and using WordPress or other open-source CMS
  • Incorporate feedback, give/take direction/constructive criticism well via clients or superiors.
  • Interested in exploring/developing web 2.0 and 3.0 services within Elevate.  
  • Some basic design skills

 

Plus but not Required:

  • Able to use some or all the applications in the Adobe CC Suite
  • Photography and editing skills.

Video Production Internship

Job Summary: 

 

We’re looking for candidates for a Video Production Intern for Summer and Winter 2021 sessions. We’ll also keep qualified applicants on file for Winter/Spring 2021-2022 internships. 

 

Elevate Media Group is interested in hiring a talented and creative individual for a video production internship. As a video production intern, you will assist with pre-production, on-site production, and post-production needs.  Video production intern will assist in production setup/teardown, logging, and editing recorded footage as well as learning how to apply artistic editing techniques and finalize projects that accurately reflect the vision of the Production Director/Client. 

 

To ensure success as a video production intern, you should have a basic knowledge of common video camera systems, (DSLR, ENG and Cinematic)  3 point lighting, and workflow of video editing programs. Additionally, the video production intern should be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule.

 

Job Responsibilities & Functions: 

  • Maintain and assist with studio management, battery maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Assist with set up and tear down of equipment for interviews and scripted shoots.
  • Assist with packing equipment for a location shoot. 
  • Shoot/edit behind-the-scenes photos or videos for social media use.
  • Meet with the account lead to determine production vision.
  • Log footage and build projects within Adobe CC.
  • Maintain and organize content on Elevate server. 
  • Rough cut video content based on the script or directorial needs. 
  • Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
  • Monitor audio and video feed during interviews, scripted shoots, and make necessary adjustments as directed.
  • Act as a visual observer during drone flights.
  • Maintain standards of excellence as a representative of the Elevate Media Group production team when interacting with on-camera subjects, interviews, obtaining consent signatures, etc.

 

Skills required:

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere or other related video editing software.
    • Note: Elevate preferred method is Adobe CC.
  • Demonstrable skills with a strong portfolio or related education/training and adept at presenting their work in an inspiring way
  • Incorporate feedback, give/take direction/constructive criticism well via clients or members of the executive team.
  • Creative and artistic skills.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and priorities.
  • Resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Internal and external team player with great written and vocal communication and presentation skills to explain and support your thoughts. 
  • Ability to work to a tight schedule.
  • Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.

  • Work under the senior staff in scheduling and planning internal and external projects

  • Organizing Dropbox, Google Drive, and Hightail folders
  • Proofread texts and copy
  • Execute market and competition research
  • Collect data from marketing campaigns
  • Perform market analysis and research on the competition
  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assist in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)
  • Prepare promotional presentations
  • Help distribute marketing materials
  • Manage and update company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
